A Chrome Box is used to emulate a strobe used on emergency vehicles (police cars, ambulances, fire trucks, etc.) to effect the sensors on traffic lights to give a driver priority at crossings and intersections. Although the term fell into Pheark-culture obscurity, people are still known to use such devices to effect traffic lights.
